Available Positions:

Field Service Engineer, Level 1 (Junior)

The central role of an FSE is to servicediagnostic imaging equipment (primarily MRI, CT and PET scanners) located at medical and veterinary providers in the Tristate area.  FSEs must be comfortable working in dynamic, time-sensitive and consumer-oriented environments with high emphasis on customer satisfaction.  The ability to troubleshoot technical issues with excellent customer care, independently and among teams, is essential to this role.

Job Responsibilities

  • On-site and remote troubleshooting.
  • On-site preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment.
  • Removal and installation of equipment.
  • Work with technical escalation team to resolve difficult issues.
  • Documentation of work orders and follow-up needs.
  • Communication with customers regarding system maintenance and scheduling needs.
  • Phone support for customers, vendors, engineers, internal supporting departments.
  • Flexible work hours and availability for on-call shifts on weeknights and weekends.
  • Travel on short notice, including overnight jobs.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Associates degree or higher education in biomedical or electrical engineering.
  • Fluent in English; proficient in written and oral communication.

  • Punctual and reliable.

  • Starting salary $52,000.

Parts Sales and Procurement Specialist

As a team member of Sigma, you will process part orders with a team that delivers exceptional customer service to prospective and existing internal and external customers. You will promptly respond to part requests identifying customer requirements, quoting, requests for returns and exchanges.  Reports to the Parts Sales & Procurement Lead.

Job Responsibilities

  • Handle a heavy volume of emails for internal and external part requests.
  • Gather customer information and product requirements.
  • Document customer requests and update account information as needed.
  • Create parts orders, send estimates, and provide tracking information.
  • Nurture customer relationships, including confirmation of delivery of parts.
  • Communicate part availability, pricing, and terms of sale, and deliver information to the internal and external customer.
  • Advise customers on substitution or modifications of parts when item requested is not available.
  • Follow up to ensure customer satisfaction and that all requirements were met; follow up to discover new potential sales opportunities.
  • Maintain multiple vendor and customer accounts to address changes and ensure accuracy of information.
  • Produce accurate and timely records of all sales transactions, including estimates and sales orders.
  • Produce accurate and timely records of all purchases.
  • Handle exchanged returns and issue RMA (Return Material Authorization).
  • Work with management and finance to reconcile sales and purchasing transactions.

  • Previous parts experience and technical experience a plus.
  • Sales background preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
